Tech Art Project

A model I worked on a while ago and shelved, brought back to life at the request of a tech art team to play with for their own project

1 on 1 Ref Board

The big things I would like to practice and continue to get better at would be: Cloth, Hair Cards, Hand Painting, and Marvelous Designer. While they may not all be used in the style I want to go for, they are still super important for character artists to know, and to be flexible in different styles so you're not locked into one archetype.

This image I chose as my top one because it's one of those images that shows everything in how they make game ready textures and how they go about painting their colors and values in. It's been such a heavy influence on me and idk where I would be without it.

My top 3 images are the ones that hold the more core things of me wanting to do characters. The far right image was one of the first concepts I saw that made me say "I want to do characters", it really kickstarted my path and I don't think I would've continued without it. The middle image is a very core one for where I want to work and the style I want to go for, it's one that I reference quite a lot in my practice texture work. The left image is one I was heavily influenced by in learning how to stylize my characters out with cloth and shapes. It's another one that has a core pillar over it.
